SKECHERS Operations Manager Ateeb Hussain receives the recognition on behalf of the brand that was hailed as the 2019 The Filipino Times Awards Preferred Sports Brand of the Year, awarded on stage by Prime Group CEO Dr. Mary Jane Alvero Al Mahdi and Irene Corpuz, Head of the IT Security Section at an Abu Dhabi government entity.

Skechers noted that they have seen an increase in footfall after being recognized at The Filipino Times Awards 2019.

Because of its concept of comfort, style, and a fair price point, Filipinos selected and hailed SKECHERS as their 2019 The Filipino Times Awards Preferred Sports Brand of the Year, besting many other brands vying to be the choice of Filipinos in the UAE.

“We have seen larger walk-ins to Skechers stores and are both privileged and excited to enter the year 2020 knowing that we have managed to maintain the trust of Filipinos in the region as they have voted for us among the winners of 2019 The Filipino Times Awards,” said the company in a statement.

Skechers always believe that an efficient sports brand should also cater especially to those who aim for comfortable clothing and footwear for regular use, thereby promoting an active lifestyle—such as Filipinos in the UAE.

Trendiest comfort wear

Having been a household name for many Filipinos way back in the Philippines, Skechers continues to maintain their loyal customers, while catching the attention of potential new walk ins to their store with their frontliners who are always willing to extend a helping hand.

“It’s the dedication and comfort of our staff that brings out the best in our brand, effectively creating a good, memorable experience for customers who visit our stores,” shared the company in a statement.

The company also thanked all Filipinos who have given Skechers that boost of confidence by voting for them: “We thank all Filipinos who have supported us throughout the year that led us to this win at The Filipino Times Awards. We would like to welcome everyone to experience the trendiest comfort wear right here in the UAE.”

A global leader in the performance and lifestyle footwear industry, Skechers USA, Inc. designs, develops and markets more than 3,000 styles for men, women and children. Skechers’ success stems from its employees, high-quality, varied product offering, diversified domestic and international distribution channels, and targeted multi-channel marketing.

The company offers two distinct footwear categories: a lifestyle division and performance footwear. Through licensing agreements, the company also offers branded apparel, accessories, eyewear, scrubs and more.
