Have you heard some beliefs about traveling have hindered you to go out there and explore? Traveling is expensive
While it’s true that you need to shell out some cash to travel, you can still manage your budget as long as you plan ahead of time. With the right amount of discipline, you can definitely explore without leaving your wallet dry. One thing you can try to help manage your money on trips is to be on the lookout for flight sales and hotel promotions. You can also create an itinerary with planned budget expense. Doing so will help you strategize your trip.

Street food is a no-no!
It’s easy to dismiss street food from places you’re not familiar with, especially if you’re extra cautious about your health during your trip. But there are a lot of places in various countries where street food is actually a must try. Some streets in Singapore, Bangkok, and Taipei are being flocked by tourists because of their street food offerings. If a lot of people keep coming back to them, there’s no way it’s unsafe, right?

Everyone is out to get you
It’s good to be cautious when traveling because after all, you don’t know what’s waiting for you out there. But if you want to fully enjoy your trip, don’t dismiss everyone you meet at an instant. Some of the best travel memories come from moments with people we meet on the way, so be sure to socialize as well. You can be alert without being too mistrustful.

Solo travel is boring
The idea of being a lone adventurer can be daunting, everything seems overwhelming—from planning, to learning cultures, down to exploring. But it can also be the most fulfilling thing you can do for yourself. The idea of getting your much-needed rest, or finding yourself, or simply enjoying without thinking about the concerns of others is quite exciting, isn’t it? In addition, solo travel helps unleash the street-smart in you. You get to plan for everything simply because no one will do it for you. Booking flights, discovering transportation, hunting for hotels—these are some of the things you’ll learn to master. Traveling alone also gives you the control over everything. You want to wake up late? Go ahead! You want to exhaust the entire day just touring around? No one’s stopping you! There’s no need to consider the opinion of other people on the itinerary—you’re free to do exactly whatever you want!
