A newlywed couple raised a whopping Php 629,000 during their prosperity dance.
Ernie Balili, the videographer of the couple, posted the viral photo on Facebook.
The event took place in Grand Regal Hotel in Davao City
The couple’s dress was adorned with one-thousand-peso and five-hundred-peso bills.
According to Balili, it’s his first time to encounter a prosperity dance which raised an insane amount of money.
“Ngayon lang po na ganyan kalaki yung inabot sa kanilang prosperity dance,” he told The Filipino Times
Money dance or prosperity dance is a common feature during weddings in the Philippines wherein godparents and other guests pin money on the newlywed couple during the reception.
The said practice means wishing good fortune to rain on the newlyweds as well as helping the couple to begin a new chapter together financially.
