An overseas Filipina worker in Japan is a living proof that proximity is never a big deal to help people in need.

Glendy Cruz reached out to her ‘kababayans’ in by sending one thousand N95 face masks for afflicted residents of the Taal Volcano eruption.

On January 14, the Pinay posted a Facebook status stating her intention to donate for the victims.

“Will donate 1,000 pcs. of N95 mask #JapantoManila,” Cruz wrote.

She thanked a friend for helping her make it to Manila.

Her post has garnered 1,800 reactions and 370 shares with positive feedback from netizens.

“You are a blessing to a lot of people who need masks right now,” one responded.

“May God bless you a thousandfold,” another commented.

“The best ka Glendy,” a user wrote.
