WATCH: Video of huge humpback whale awes netizens

A video of a humpback whale that showed itself in front of tourists has gone viral on Twitterverse.

Twitter user @MColeman2010 re-uploaded the video on his account and it now has more than a million views and some 14,492 retweets, as of this writing.

“My soul would leave my body if I saw this,” he tweeted.

Netizens on Twitter described the view to be breathtaking.

One Twitter user @Nelse_McCloud invited the uploader and others to visit New England, saying these whales usually come up in September.

“They put on a show for us all month when we’re out fishing. Got 100’s of breach pictures from off the back of the boat. Never gets old,” he tweeted.

The video was first shared back in September.

This footage was taken last Aug. 20 in waters off Tonga.

According to China Global Television Network (CGTN) which uploaded the video on its Youtube account, the humpback whale shot into the air and slammed back into the sea.

The impact sent water bursting over the tourists who were on board a vessel.
