Ambassador Quintana bags Visionary title at Woman of the Year Awards 2019 in Dubai

The Philippine flag is raised high once again in the Middle East as Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Hjayceelyn Quintana has bagged the ‘Visionary’ award at the recently concluded Emirates Woman “Woman of the Year” Awards 2019.

The Visionary category shortlisted five fellow women leaders in the UAE including Amanda Kate Perry, CEO and Managing Director of Vitality Management Consultancies; Bana Shomali, Founder and CEO of servicemarket.com; Ghizlan Guenez, Founder and CEO of The Modist; and Natasha Sideris, Founder and Managing Director of Tasha’s Group.

“What inspires me are people and possibilities. The global Filipinos are the source of my inspiration. When I see them fully integrated, thriving in their chosen fields, and building communities as peace loving and highly valued sector of society,” said Quintana.

Quintana shares that the award for her is a tribute to all of the Filipino women working here in the UAE “whose work, spanning many professional and skilled fields, continue to have a positive, lasting impact on UAE’s changing landscape.”

She is likewise humbled for the opportunity and huge honor to accept the award that reflects the innovative drive and unyielding passion that Filipino women, working together with more than 200 nationalities here in the UAE, “have a voice to lead and a vision to push boundaries towards this progressive society.”
