The Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) posted a photo of Buboy’s statue, built in the foundation’s animal cemetery in Capas, Tarlac.

The dog’s story touched netizens’ hearts for being a loyal pet of a teacher in Mexico, Pampanga.

A month after his master’s death, Buboy died after he was hit by a vehicle.

Hachikō was a Japanese dog remembered for his loyalty to his owner, Hidesaburō Ueno, for whom he continued to wait for over nine years following Ueno’s death in the 1930s.
