Filipinos in the UAE and all over the world have their eyes on Hazzaa Al Mansoori as he will be making history for his country today as the first astronaut to head to space aboard the Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft.
Messages poured in the social pages of The Filipino Times with well wishes for the astronaut, his colleagues Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka as Commander and NASA astronaut Jessica Meir as Flight Engineer 1 as well as for the backup crew Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, with Russian commander Sergey Ryzhikov and NASA’s Thomas Marshburn.

Majority of the messages wishes the astronauts well in their historic endeavor happening early evening today, September 25 from around 4:30 to 6:30 pm, UAE time.
Several more praised Al Mansoori’s efforts and hardwork that led him to be the UAE’s beacon for space exploration.
Others look forward to the day when Al Mansoori heads back to the UAE to share his triumphs and discoveries.
