An Asian man is on trial in Sharjah on charges of swearing at a woman although he insists she swore at him during an argument.
Police arrested the man after the woman reported that he blocked her way as she was driving in a narrow street in the emirate.
When she asked him to move out of the way, he got off his car and started to shout and swear at her, according to newspapers.
But the defendant insisted in court on Thursday that the woman got out of her car and shouted obscene words at him.
The judge decided to postpone session for sentence to Sept 30, the papers said.
