Boy sells tinapa to help sick dad, support study

A boy’s determination to study and help his ill father has captured the hearts of netizens.

Lance Abarquez, a young boy, sells dried fish and tinapa in Pateros.

A certain Jewel Rashia saw Lance in a fast food chain selling his products.

When Lance went to their area, she said they were impressed with the young boy’s sales skills.

They found out that the boy’s mother passed away. His father is sick and he is now in 6th Grade.

He was forced to sell tinapa and dried fish to have an income and continue his studies.

“Kahit na mabigat yung dala niya, tinitiis niya. Kahit malayo mapuntahan niya basta maubos lang daw niya lahat ng tinda niya,” Jewel wrote in her Facebook post.

“Makikita mo talaga sa bata na pursigidong mag-aral, makatulong sa pamilya kahit na sa ganyang edad pa lang siya,” Jewel added.
