Feeling lonely? Join the choir

DUBAI: Would you believe it? There are 10 Pinoy choirs at St. Mary’s Church with each having up to 25 members – that’s 250 singing overseas Filipino workers. And the count continues.

Nino Festival, May Flower Festival , Harana Kay Maria, Holyween , Misa De Gallo at Simbang Gabi,” said Rodelyn Pillosis, the church’s overall choir coordinator for the Filipino community.

Membership is voluntary, Pillosis said, adding that many OFWs join choirs to break their monotonous existence.
