Group of women caroling in front of an ATM goes viral

You know Christmas is already around the corner when songs popularized by Jose Mari Chan is being played over radio stations and in the malls.

Carolers are also slowly showing up on the streets to sing Christmas songs in exchange for a small amount of money.

However, a group of four Filipinas decided to take caroling into a whole new level by singing in front of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).

These four women were singing and dancing to the tune of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” while waiting for the machine to dispense the cash one of them was withdrawing.

The 17-second clip uploaded on Wednesday by Facebook user Cirilo Cansino garnered around 1.9 million views, as of Sunday evening (Manila time).

Their performance drew mixed reactions from netizens.

Facebook user Sheila Mea Luzon Lpt commented that she was amused by the video.

“Mintag automatic mohatag basta kantahan bahalag di pansakan (Hopefully it will automatically give money without the ATM card inserted on the machine),” she said.

There were also those who wanted to do the same performance hoping the machine would also give them money.

“Subukan ko nga din baka sakaling magbigay ng 10k,” commented Facebook user Fhenny Agliam Siddayao.

The identity of the four women on the video is not yet known, as of this writing. The Filipino Times is still waiting for the response of uploader of the said video.

But one Facebook user with the name Romnick Mariano Linado guessed that they are public school teachers.

As of this writing, the video has also been shared 41,237 times on Facebook and garnered at least 33,000 likes.
