Flight delays? No worries! Just do these:

Whenever we travel, whether within the Gulf region or around the world, plane delays are almost inevitable. Many of us may resort to ranting or even snapping at the airport staff, and even those won’t make us feel any better. If you ever experience a flight delay, here are ways to make all these annoyances easier to handle without getting your mood all chaotic:

Monitor the situation
Talk the person-in-charge of your flight at the airport about how long the delay will take. This way, you can plan ahead on how to deal with it—such as booking an airport hotel or a lounge for you to rest at, monitoring the status of your connecting flight (if you have one), or returning home if the flight is delayed for more than six hours.

Load up on hobbies
Nothing kills the boredom of flight delays better than reconnecting with your pleasures. Finish the remaining chapters of the book you’re reading. Sing to your favorite tunes on your Spotify. Binge-watch movies or episodes on Netflix. Play with your smartphone. You’ll be okay.

Make friends with others
Try to connect with your fellow passengers, because when an inconvenience such as flight delays occur, it’s best to create a positive friendly vibe instead. Also, it’s easier to talk to them because the delay could be a great ice breaker.

Stroll around the terminals
Many airports offer amenities and retail centers for passengers, so if your flight gets delayed, take the opportunity to enjoy them. You can get spa or massage services and shop for gifts you can give your loved ones.

Sleep
Instead of being worked up with frustration, just recharge and rest the bad mood away. At least you’ll get some well-deserved shut-eye.
