DUBAI: Photos recently posted by a 22-year-old man showing him with, what others would say, a “foxy” lady, has been making the rounds on social media because the woman, it turns out, is actually his mother.
The Sun, New York Post, The Daily Mail, Metro News, among other news outfits carried the report which stemmed from a Facebook post by Jonathan Nguyen of Los Angeles, California showing pictures of his “age-defying” mom.
The mother, whose name was withheld for privacy issues, has been on a diet and an exercise drill – secrets to her youthful looks, Nguyen said.
But there are downsides.
“Having a young Asian mom is great until you see someone your age shooting their shot at her,” media quoted him as saying.
“His followers were utterly stunned, with several explaining they thought the woman in the photograph was his sister — or even his girlfriend,” said a New York Post report.
The newspaper also quoted one of Nguyen’s followers as commenting: “Woah. She’s beautiful. Thought she was your girlfriend. I said to myself ‘what a beautiful couple.’”
Others have other interests like the how’s and why’s.
“Your mom looks like your sister, what’s her secret?” New York Post quoted people as saying.
The post has since reportedly garnered 14,000 likes and nearly 8,000 comments.
Nguyen said his mom eats “lots of fruits” and does work outs every day. She has also been on a low-carb, high-fat (Keto) diet plus a skincare routine.
