Twenty-eight OFW couples tie the knot in Dubai

DUBAI: Twenty-eight love birds, all young overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) with age averaging in the late-twenties, tied the knot in a group wedding officiated by Vice Consul Elizabeth Ramos at the Philippine Consulate General on Thursday, July 25, 2019.

The exact number was not immediately available but several couples said they endured years of long distance relationship (LDR) before having finally getting married.

It is illegal in the UAE for unmarried couples to live together.
