LOOK: Francis Libiran, Rajo Laurel share PH SEA Games uniform designs

Two Filipino fashion designers shared their happiness in showcasing their designs at the upcoming Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).

On his Instagram account, designer Rajo Laurel said he is deeply humbled to design some of the uniforms for the SEA Games.

“Deeply humbled and grateful to be part of the 30th South East Asian games! We were commissioned to design several uniforms for this momentous occasion. So proud of my team for doing a great job. Go Philippines!” Laurel said.

Meanwhile, Francis Libiran also released the design for the SEA Games parade uniforms of the Philippine team.

Libiran’s Barong Tagalog shows sun rays on both sides of the shoulder. The collar, meanwhile, has the shades of blue and red.

“It gives me great pride to release the designs of the official parade uniforms I created exclusively for Team Philippines at the 30th Southeast Asian Games. Depicting the vibrant colors and meaningful symbols of the Philippine national flag, these designs of the famous Barong Tagalog presents a modern take on the Philippines’ national costume,” Libiran said.

The designer also said local fabrics were used to highlight and celebrate pure Filipino proud.

The Philippines will be the host for this grand sporting event. SEA Games will take place starting November 30.
