A young Filipino cager is making a name in the Jr. NBA Global Championship after he was chosen as one of the four players who will become part of the Asia Pacific Team competing in Orlando, Florida from August 6 to 11 this year.
The 14-year-old Kobe Demisana was chosen as one of the best campers during a selection in Jakarta, Indonesia.
According to a report from Inquirer.net, Demisana, who stands 6 feet, 5 inches, is from Tay Tung High School in Bacolod, Negros Occidental. He joined NBA’s grassroots program in Bacolod where he was selected to become part of the National Training Camp.
But every success has its story of failure, too.
Before this moment came, Demisana failed to make it to the All-Star team last year.
Experience is the best teacher for Demisana, who assured that he came prepared physically and mentally for this.
Demisana will join fellow Filipinos Matthew Rubico, Sebastian Reyes, and Camille Nolasco in the Asia Pacific Team. They will also be joined by one player from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand.
