It’s a ‘miscake’: Woman gets Marie Curie birthday cake instead of Mariah Carey

What a miscake!

A woman took to Twitter to share her cousin’s hilarious birthday surprise.

The birthday girl identified only as Siobhan requested a Mariah Carey cake for her celebration — however, she instead received a Marie Curie cake.

Her co-workers somehow mistook the “All I Want For Christmas” Grammy-award winning singer for the two-time Nobel Price-winning scientist Marie Curie.

“My cousin in England told her colleagues she wanted a Mariah Carey birthday cake,” Harriet Alidad Lye tweeted, adding that, “They misunderstood, and [this] is the cake they made her instead. It’s Marie Curie, looking very festive.”

Both have M.C. initials.

Netizens found the incident amusing and left a variety of pun-filled comments referencing the late scientist and her work with radiation.

Even Carey herself responded to the hilarious mix-up on Twitter, stating she could have been Marie Curie—if she passed math class.
