OFW STORY: Love found its way to intertwine two lonely hearts at NAIA

“In a sea of people there was only you.”

The lines of this David Archuleta song sum up a one-of-a-kind love story that started in a seemingly unromantic place—the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Who would have thought that love will find its way in a place full of delayed flight complaints and rants. But 32-year-old Anna Blanca Arevalo-Fragata found the one in this crowded place.

In an interview with Inquirer.net, Fragata narrated their unique story that started seven years ago.

Anna was at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to catch her flight to Hong Kong. From there, she would embark to Los Angeles, California, where she would later board a boat.

Upon arriving at the NAIA terminal, she noticed a familiar name of a man.

She already knew that they would be co-workers upon reading beforehand a letter regarding their new colleagues and the man’s name was included.

She jokingly made a remark in her mind that this guy might be an old man since his name sounds old, “Rodolfo”.

They had their first conversation but Rodolfo was not reactive at all.

Then their paths crossed again when they arrived at a hotel in Los Angeles.

Rodolfo only had the guts to sit beside her while on a bus going to the seaport.

Indeed, love moves in mysterious ways. It was when they finally boarded the ship that Anna discovered that he would be staying in the cabin opposite hers and even worked together on the ship.

Amidst all the coincidences, Anna believes that love happens in God’s perfect timing.

Rodolfo was healing his broken heart back then while Anna was on the pursuit of true love. But who would have that their paths would intertwine?
