From overcoming his drug addiction, newly registered nurse Ryan Villareal says he is now pursuing his dream to become a doctor.
A Naga City, Cebu native, Villareal passed the Nursing Licensure Exams this year. But his journey was not an easy one because he suffered drug addiction when he was still studying.
“It wasn’t really easy especially nag-recover ko while studying. I’m healing from my wounds,” Villareal told Inquirer.net.
Villareal said he is also thankful to have a supportive family who didn’t give up on him during his most challenging times.
He said that he is now more determined to stay away from illegal drugs.
Villareal already enrolled to take medicine course and he is just waiting for his final interview.
“Aside from becoming a doctor, I dream of becoming a good man who will make significant contributions to the society,” Villareal said.
