Google has paid a tribute to Philippine’s national hero Jose Rizal on his 158th birthday.
The search engine company changed its home page where you can see Rizal’s iconic picture and some of his writings.
Rizal was born in Calamba, Laguna on June 19, 1861. His parents were Francisco Mercado Rizal and Teodora Alonso.
Rizal was a well-known doctor, linguist and writer. He went to Spain to study and wrote two “Noli Me Tangere” and “El Filibusterismo,” which denounced the abuses of the Spanush friars and eventually cost him his life through firing squad in 1986.
