LOOK: Flag-inspired formation 5,000 Putos featured in a Philippine Mall

The City of Biñan made its mark on the Philippine map as it creatively joined 5,000 piece its iconic “Puto Biñan” into a formation that mimicked the Philippine flag in celebration of the 121st Philippine Independence Day.

Megaworld sponsored the creation of the giant celebratory rice cake last June 12 featured at Southwoods Mall – much to the delight of the residents of Biñan as well as the visitors who came all the way from different parts of the Philippines to witness the one-day display.

As its name suggests, “Puto Biñan” is a much-loved and sought-after ‘kakanin’ in the city that Filipinos around the country and even the world really crave for.

In Dubai, the Philippine flag was also featured through light shows at two of the most iconic places – the Dubai Festival City Mall, as well as the Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world.
