Manila: A medical doctor joins the list of the 2018 bar exam passers.
Dr. Jean Polido revealed how happy she was when she found out that she passed the bar exams.
Polido recalled that her law school life was not an easy journey.
She said that she really wanted to become a lawyer but her family wanted her to pursue medicine instead.
Polido finished medicine at the University of Santo Tomas, cum laude and passed the licensure exams in 2011.
But her burning passion to become a lawyer could not be contained so she enrolled at the Arellano University School of Law.
Polido was grateful for the support of her husband, family, and friends as she pursued a career in the legal profession.
She admits that although she had survived medicine, entering law school was another daunting task.
In a Facebook post, Polido posted a photo of her with a stethoscope, a usual tool for medical practitioners, and a number of law school books beside her.
So will it be Atty. Polido or Dr. Polido? Well, now you can call her both.
Only 1,800 individuals or 22.07 percent passed the exams held last year.
