‘Instant’ six-pack abs now available

DUBAI: Vanity knows no inconvenience, as the cliché goes, and so for a growing number of men bent on looking hot but would rather skip the gym work, this could be the next best thing: “instant abs” through liposuction.
A hospital in Bangkok offers a procedure where, instead of implanting silicone into the abdomen, the stomach is “etched out” or sculpted by removing fat to obtain the desired look, reported the Singapore-based, Straits Times, citing Coconuts Thailand, a local media outfit.

Dr. Raweewat “Sae” Maschamadol, CEO of Masterpiece Hospital in Bangkok which is known for plastic surgeries and skin care, said they receive between 20 and 30 customers a year asking for six-pack surgery.

Maschamadol said carving the abdomen creates a more natural and long-lasting appearance as opposed to fillers.

The surgery is painless, according to Maschamadol, but the recovery is reportedly something else as bandage needs to be wrapped around the area to soak up blood where the sculpting was made.

Maschamadol told Coconuts Thailand that up to 90% of their clients were health and fitness buffs frustrated about not getting the body they want.

One such customer was 24-year-old model Ome Pangpaparn, who recently made news for undergoing what media described as a “bizarre” procedure. It reportedly cost him $4,000.

“I have been working out for many years but I want to my abs line to be more defined, so I did the surgery,” media quoted him as saying. (PHOTO: MASTERPIECE HOSPITAL/FACEBOOK)
