A woman from Taiwan has recently found out that the man who donated blood to save her life after a severe car accident was her husband.
Lim almost lost her life when she got into a car accident 11 years ago. Under a critical condition, Lim needed 10 packs of blood and 2 bags of platelets to survive. Luckily, Lian, a man who loves to donate blood, volunteered, and a transfusion was performed that stabilized Lim’s condition.
Seven years after the horrible accident, Lim met Lian and the two fell in love. Unaware of their earlier encounter, the two got married on March 2018.
Came a time when Lim wanted to find the person who saved her life so she could thank him. She went to the hospital where she was confined and tried to get information from the blood donation center. However, Lim was denied access to the information.
Determined to find her life saver, Lim convinced one of the hospital staff and gave her the list of surnames who donated blood to her.
To her surprise, Lim found his husband’s surname on the list and gave her husband’s identification number to the staff to verify if Lian was the same person on the list. After matching both records, the staff confirmed it was indeed her husband, Lian, who donated blood and saved her life 11 years ago.
At present, both Lim and Lian are advocates of donating blood.
