Pinoy Winter Festival to highlight the Philippines’ iconic Christmas traditions

While Christmas is celebrated throughout the world, Filipinos are known to bring out their happiest smiles as they showcase their talents to bring in the festive mood. With plenty of Christmas traditions in store, the Pinoy Winter Festival shapes up to be a venue for bringing the Philippines’ most remarkable Christmas activities here in Dubai this coming December 7 at the Zabeel Park.

Filipinos’ talent for song and dance will shine at activities such as the Christmas Caroling Competition, Filipino Schools Drum & Lyre, Tugtog Pasko Dance Contest, and the Filipino Bands Presentation.

The event will also feature Filipino Christmas traditions as well as their talent in the visual arts such as the Lighting of Winter Evening Lights Parol Making Contest, Gift Giving & Exchange Gifts, Search for Winter Costume Competition, Cinerama sa Pasko, Lantern Display Competition, Winter Booth Competition, Hair Design Contest, On the Spot Painting and Bazaars, Pasko Photography Competition, Giant Bibingka Eating Contest, Winter Bazaars, and have fun with the classic game: Pera O Bayong.

Guests from the Philippines include Former Assistant Secretary at the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Mocha Uson together with her Mocha Girls, as well as The Wishfuls who are all currently in Dubai for a series of mini concerts.

The event will also highlight OFW role models at the OFW Bayani Awards, and will also provide free calls to the Philippines, OFW Express, Medical Mission, Free Family Photo booth, as well as a Medical Mission to aid fellow kababayans.
