Sweet, loyal, and affectionate are words that capture why dogs are called man’s best friend. And a dog in Cebu City proved his one-of-a-kind loyalty, after it rode a jeepney to chase after his master.
Posted by Facebook user Nova Tapuyao, the viral video is now making rounds online because of the unique occurence of a dog chasing after its owner via a public transportation.
The post was captioned, “My sister on her way home found this cutie riding a jeepney looking anxious and then this happens. The viral video was captured by Tapuyao’s sister on her way home from work.
According to Tapuyao, the sweet incident occurred on a Friday morning when the dog on the video rode a jeepney from the Cebu Provincial Capitol.
In the video, the dog is seen looking out the jeepney window as though looking for something. The person recording the video is heard uttering words of surprises and excitement, and so were the other passengers of the jeepney.
When the jeepney came to a halt along Cebu City’s Guadalupe-Banawa intersection, passengers from a multicab next to the jeep were surprised. One of the multicab passengers turned out to be the owner of the charming dog.
The owner immediately alighted from the multicab and fetched the dog. “Ali diri, naboang, dali,” (“Come here, unbelievable. Quickly!”), said the dog’s owner as she carried the dog from the jeepney onto the multicab.
To date, the post has garnered 1.8 million views, over 38 thousand shares, and 35 thousand reactions.
Many netizens lauded the dog’s intelligence and love for his owner. Meanwhile, other netizens joked that the sweet dog forgot to pay for his jeepney ride.
