$1 million gold-stripping facility opens in PH

Taiwanese firm Philippine Xin Ye Industry Ltd., Inc has opened its first gold-stripping facility in the Philippines that uses GP-860 technology—an environment-friendly method of gold stripping process.

The $1-million plant, located in Valenzuela City, can strip up to 15 tons of ore per day as reported by the Manila Bulletin. This means the facility can produce as much as 750 grams of pure gold daily.

Moreover, the GP-860 technology can replace the use of cyanide in gold-stripping and also speed up the process of refining gold.

Xin Ye is currently pursuing 20 local mining companies to acquire the GP-860 technology in the newly opened plant. The technology can reduce the ore-to-gold process to eight hours, as compared to the traditional process that takes up about two to eight days.

According to Xin Ye Executive Vice President Steven Liao, “this technology can increase the income of mining companies in the Philippines.” Many of the mining companies in the country only export raw ore and metals because of high processing cost.

The international company plans to build two more gold-stripping plants in the Philippines, namely in Baguio City and Camarines Norte.
