Facebook now lets you add songs to photos, videos

Social media giant Facebook has launched another advanced option for its billion users to express their feelings and share their penchant for music–by allowing music on Facebook Stories and soon adding songs to profile.

In a statement posted on it Newsroom Page,  Facebook announced that users can add songs as a backdrop on photos and videos in Facebook Stories

The user has to take a photo or video from the Facebook Camera or grab one from the camera roll.

Then, tap on the sticker icon and select the music sticker.

Once the user finds the song he/she wants to add, he can choose which part to add the sticker with the artist and song name.

The user can move the sticker around and add other stickers and effects to customize the story.

Soon, Facebook users will also be able to add songs to their profile through a new music section.

Users will also have the option to pin a song to the top of their profile to share with friends and help friends learn more about them.

“Moments are remembered and accentuated with music, and we can’t wait to see all the ways people around the world get creative with these features, make memories, and have fun with friends and family,” said Fred Beteille, Facebook’s head of Product, Music and Rights and Tamara Hrivnak, head of Music Business Development and Partnerships.

Based on their records as of June 2018, there are 1.47 billion daily active users on Facebook.
