According to a report by the Manila Bulletin, Sitoy started acting in the school theater Dulaang Filipino before attending a workshop by independent film director Brillante Mendoza.

In 2016, Sitoy won Best Supporting Actress in the 2016 Cinema One Originals for the film “Lily”. She is currently a part of the Netflix series Amo, also directed by Brillante Mendoza.

“Direk Brillante is someone I look up to. I am indebted to him,” says the actress. “I learned so many things from him. He taught me things about the industry and life itself.”

Come on Irene will be screened in the Philippines during the QCinema International Film Festival (QCinema) 2018 from October 21 to 30.
