Middle East Games Con 2018 to feature anime, Japanese culture and entertainment acts

The worldwide anime phenomenon has brought the Japanese culture and lifestyle to the forefront and the UAE is getting the front seats to witness an immersive experience at the upcoming Middle East Games Con 2018 happening at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) this coming October 25-27!

‘Anifest’ launches within the Middle East Games Con which will feature 12 entertainment acts including a Dynamic Samurai Sword fight performance by Katanayaichi. The masterful display of the Samurai’s skills have enthralled audiences in Japan Expo in Paris and Hyper Japan in London and will definitely be an awe-inspiring display for gamers, Anime and manga fans and Japanese culture enthusiasts in the UAE.

Also in attendance will be Peach Momoko, a world renowned Anime/ Manga artist who is very popular at the world’s biggest comic cons as well as Cosplayer Konomi Akira.

“We are so glad to introduce Authentic Japanese craftworks, art works and products and to show Japanese traditional cultural performances in the long awaiting convention Anifest.” Aki Yamada, manager of the Middle East section in Japan Promotion said.

Apart from Katanayaichi, Peach Momoko, and Konomi Akira, visitors will also catch Miho, a calligraphy artist who combines her work with traditional music in an authentic performance, “Samurai Voice Artist” Waccha, Dance performers En Design x Arise, Kirie, a group of theatre performers depicting Japanese Mythology, Japanese Folklore and Mythology performer and writer Ekotsumi, Nishiokun, a Japanese Local mascot from Kokubunji city, and more!

The three-day event has also confirmed over 30 Japanese exhibitors who will showcase a range of anime content, Japanese art and more. Visitors will also be able to explore and experience Japanese culture including calligraphy, traditional sword fighting, art alongside fashion and food.
