Dubai is home to man grandest and tallest skyscrapers in the world. This year, another notable structure drawing inspiration from the Apple iPod is set to open for Dubai residents and visitors alike. It will be called The Pad.

Designed by James Law of the James Law Cybertecture based in Hong Kong, The Pad is a 26-storey residential building located in Business Bay, which is a popular location of luxurious hotels in the emirate.

From the outside, the structure is inclined at 6.5 degrees, which imitates the look of an Apple iPod when placed in its charging dock.

Inside, a total of 256 rooms are available including studio apartments, one-bedroom apartments, one-bedroom duplexes, and three-bedroom duplexes.

Technology occupies a big part of the interior’s design as biometric locks, mood lighting, voice controls, and mirrors that can monitor health give this new structure a taste of what it’s like inside an iPod.
