While many people across the UAE might have felt like they are going to melt this week, with the temperature yesterday hitting more than 50 degree Celsius, Filipinos in the many parts of the Philippines sizzle too in the scorching heat even now that the summer months are already over.
In major cities, the melting heat is aggravated by long tailbacks on roads, which makes riding a public utility vehicle, like jeepneys, a struggle for most commuters.
That concerned a jeepney driver in San Fernando, Pampanga, though! So, he thought of hanging abaniko fans inside his jeepney to give his passengers a temporary relief from the sweltering humidity these days.
In a Facebook post of Ginny Pacia on Facebook, she shared her experience in riding the cozy jeepney.
“Kakatuwa ang nasakyan naming jeep kanina na Angeles-San Fernando. Ready na for summer ang jeep ni manong driver. Kitang kita ang concern niya sa mga pasahero,” the netizen captioned her post with the photo of abaniko fans hanging inside the jeepney.
“Mainit na daw kaya naisip niyang maglagay ng pamaypay. Galing niyo po kuya. Sayang di namin nakuha name niyo at plate number. God bless po!” she added.
