Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach flew to Dubai for the second time last March to grace a meet-and-greet event with the Filipino community in the UAE at The Watch House in Dubai Mall.
But what her fans did not know is that during her short stay in the City of Gold, the Pinay beauty queen never missed to take some time off to roam around some beautiful spots in Dubai.
In the latest episode of ‘Pia’s Portcards’, her travel show on Metro Channel, Queen P paid a visit to a souk, one of the country’s symbols of culture, and is frequented by both locals and foreigners.
She did not also miss to take a boat ride along the Dubai Creek to enjoy the stunning view of Burj Al Arab.
After her quick visit to these places, she caught up with Dubai-based Filipino designer Furne One as part of her shooting schedule.
Furne One, who received The Filipino Times’ Fashion Designer of the Year award in 2015 (together with Michael Cinco), established Amato Couture with co-founder Rashid Ali. He had successfully made his mark on the international fashion scene, garnering clients like celebrities Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Béyonce, Jessie J, Lady Gaga, and so much more.
