VIRAL: Sponge vendor thanks ‘suki’ for helping him finish college

Every student has his or her own struggles in life.

For Melvin Chua, it was to finish his studies even if it means selling sponges on the streets.

Chua, the first college graduate of his family, narrated in a lengthy Facebook post how his “suki” helped him achieve his dream.

“And as I end this remarkable journey, ito yung araw na hinding hindi ko kayo malilimutang pasalamatan. From the bottom of my heart.

Chua, who took up Bachelor of Science in Office Management at the University of Makati, said that no matter where life may take him, he will always look back to his humble beginnings and to the people who have been with him through thick and thin.
