DUBAI: Women have come a long way ghting for legitimacy and equality, having won their right of su rage and gained foothold of the corporate and political world – to nally break the glass ceiling and stake a claim on their rightful place in what has for ages been called a man’s world.
The Filipino community in the UAE doesn’t have a shortage of women leaders as can be gleaned from the 23 recipients of various commendations at the annual The Filipino Times Awards.
Noteworthy, is the esteemed panel of judges led by His Excellency, Ambassador Constancio Vingno, Jr.. and His Excellency Mohamed Saleh Badri, Secretary General, International Halal Accreditation Forum; former Director General, Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA).
Other members of the panel of judges were Ms. Mary Jane Alvero, Top 100 Global CEO awardee and CEO, Prime and `GTL; Ms. Lou Olvido- Parroco, Human Resource Director, CEEM and a professional life coach;.
