Did you know that Van Gogh, the famous painter of “The Starry Night” and the multi-million dollar “Portrait of Doctor Gachet” produced 2,000 works of art, consisting of around 930 paintings and 1,100 drawings and sketches in the span of 10 years? Despite this massive volume of work, only the painting “The Red Vineyard’ was sold during his lifetime. One can explore these and more about the works and life experiences of the Dutch impressionist at the “The Van Gogh Alive – The Experience a multi-sensory exhibition that is being presented at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi till February 26, 2018 and will stay at the Dubai Design District from March 11 to April 23 this year. The one-of-a-kind Van Gogh exhibit is projected on towering walls, cellings and even floors. The experience will bring you to each phases of his artistic life from 1880 to 1890 in Arles, Saint Rémy and Auvers-sur-Oise; and is accompanied with musical score originally from those time.
