Samour Khallouf, an official adjudicator for Guinness World Record, confirmed that the said event has set the world record for “largest environmental sustainability lesson”.

“No such records were set previously in the world wherein hundreds of students attended a large interactive lesson on environmental sustainability. This is the first time,” Samer Khallouf said as reported by Gulf News.

The main objective of the lecture was to show young people can help in conserving energy for a more sustainable energy in the future.

Khalid Al Ameri, an internet personality, posted a video on his Facebook page regarding the said event.

He narrated how the UAE started from being a vast desert to becoming one of the leading and most successful countries in the world.

He thanked the vision of UAE’s founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in building a sustainable environment for the future.

“One of the amazing things about living in the UAE is the legacy that has been set by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and what he strived for was to create an environment that was sustainable that could go forward for the future,” he said.

“I mean think about it, this was just one big desert and now it is this beautiful garden if greenery everywhere you go, and that was the vision of one man,” Al Ameri added.
