Filipinos are known to be happy people because they find the strength to smile even in the most disastrous moments.
Through the hardships that they have encountered due to social and natural forces, resiliency and optimism have been instilled in them.
The gushing of lava and ashes from the Mayon volcano has startled the entire nation. Sectors of the government have been working hand in hand to ensure the safety of the residents living in that area.
But a certain netizen felt the need to make other people laugh to lessen the fear caused by Mayon’s unrest.
Gary Bañaga shared a video on Facebook that immediately went viral because of its hilarious content.
In the said video, “Super Nak” attempts to clear the sky with an unplugged electric fan as the ashes from Mayon’s crater darkens the sky, with Sarah Geronimo’s song “Ikot-ikot” playing in the background.
In another video, he was seen doing the same thing but with an abaniko fan.
It just goes to show that no calamity will kill the Filipinos’ joyful spirit.
