Clinic in Thailand offers whitening procedure for males’ private parts

A clinic in Bangkok is attracting 100 clients per month to try out a whitening procedure for males’ private parts.

The Lelux Hospital, known for its cosmetic and skin whitening procedures, started offering this unconventional treatment six months ago after a male customer complained of having a “dark” groin area.

“These days a lot of people are asking about it. We get around 100 clients a month, three to four clients a day,” Bunthita Wattanasiri, a manager for the Skin and Laser department at Lelux Hospital told Agence France-Presse.

Following an image of a man undergoing the procedure which uses laser whitening that has gone viral on social media, more and more male clients avail of the treatment.

“We have to be careful because it’s a sensitive part of the body,” Bunthita added.

Similar to the Philippines, whitening and bleaching treatments are particularly sought after in Thailand, where skin-whitening ads have caused outrage and accusations of racism.

Some Facebook users express their disapproval of this treatment asking why some people can’t accept their skin color, while others humorously said they want to give it a try.
