Did you know Manila has the worst traffic in the world? Coldplay’s Chris Martin knew about it and was even inspired to sing about it during his concert!

During the British pop-rock band’s “Music of the Spheres” world tour, Martin thanked everyone present for enduring the traffic.

“I think… We’ve seen some traffic, but I think you have the number one [worst traffic] in the world. So, thank you, thank you for making the effort to come through all that bulls**t to be here!” he said.

His impromptu song that empathized with Manila’s traffic resonated with his fans, gathering loud cheers and applause from the crowd.

“Traffic in Manila is completely insane,” he expressed in his song. “If you want to drive somewhere then I’m warning you. A 2-mile drive will take a week or two.”

“If you wanna get back home in time for your bath, well, allow yourself about a year and a half,” he added.

“We can’t wait to play in Manila again but the traffic here is completely insane,” the song concluded.

According to the TomTom Traffic Index, Manila clinched the title of the world’s most traffic-congested city in 2023.
