In her first public appearance after the Tagaytay incident last March 18, actress and social media personality Ana Jalandoni bared the painful ordeal she experienced at the hands of her boyfriend, actor Kit Thompson.
“Wala pong babae na gustong masaktan tulad ng dinanas ko,” stated Jalandoni in a live press conference Monday, March 28.
It was doubly emotional for the actress—who had to recall how she was mauled by Thompson—in front of her father and sister.
She narrated: “It was a pleasant evening…
“Tapos sabi niya, ‘Ako pag iniwan mo ako, patayin kita.
Later that conversation, she called her best friend on her phone inside the hotel room. As there was no phone signal, she went outside to find a better reception until she reached the hotel’s third floor. At that time, she said she was already “tipsy” and she fell asleep.
She was later found by a lady guard, who informed Thompson that she was on the third floor.
That spat escalated and led to physical abuse.
Jalandoni admitted that she still has feelings for Thompson, but she said it wouldn’t stop her from seeking justice.
She said: “Hindi ko deserve iyong nangyari sa akin…
“[I am] willing to forgive Kit, but he has to face the consequences of his actions.”
She is set to file two additional cases against Thompson, including frustrated homicide and illegal detention.
The lawsuits are separate from the complaints earlier made by the Philippine National Police against Thompson for violation of Section 5 (a) of the Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence against Women and Children Act last March 19.
The actor had undergone inquest proceedings at the Tagaytay City Prosecutors Office. He was released after posting bail of P72,000 against the initial criminal cases filed by PNP, according to media reports.
When asked by the media about her message to Thompson, Jalandoni said: “Kit, fix yourself.”
The two made their relationship public in December 2021.
