Actress Claudine Barretto and her family experienced a brownout on Christmas day after their electricity was cut off due to unpaid bills according to Claudine’s lawyer Ferdinand Topacio.
Topacio said in an interview with Cristy Fermin, Mr.Fu, and Lolit Solis that Claudine’s family was surprised when their power was cut off.
“Nakakalungkot kasi holidays pa naman dapat ay masaya not just for Claudine, ‘yung mga bata sana kaya lang naging madilim ang kanilang holidays dahil nga sa nangyari,” Topacio said.
The lawyer was asked how much the bill was but he was not sure about the amount.
Topacio said that Claudine and the kids spent their holidays with her mother Inday and some of the relatives pitched in so that the actress can pay her electricity bill.
“Oo and we tried our best na matulungan siya, ‘yun mga ibang relatives niya siyempre tumulong din naman,’’Topacio said.
The lawyer also lamented that Claudine is having a hard time receiving the allowance demanded by the court from her former husband Raymart Santiago.
And it’s also a criminal offense, he has to choose. Saan niya gagamitin ‘yung 100 thousand? Topacio said. (TDT)
