JUST IN: Senator Bong Revilla tests positive for COVID-19

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. confirms that he has tested positive for the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
 
“Nakakalungkot po na balita – I am COVID-19 positive,” he said in his Facebook post.
 
The senator said that he contracted the virus from one of their household workers who recently tested positive for the disease. He, however, clarified that he has since been placed under self-isolation.

“Pero huwag po kayo mag-alala, I am okay. Sila Lani at ang mga bata ay okay rin at sa awa ng Diyos, ay negative naman lahat,” he said. “Kami ay nagpatest at nag-isolate agad matapos may mag-positive sa aming household at isa sa aking mga tauhan.”
 
He said that the last time he went to the Senate was last August 3, and that he was out on August 4 during the 40th day of his the death of his father, Ramon Revilla Sr.
 
“Sa payo po ng aking doktor ay itutuloy ko ngayon ang aking quarantine, but will be under observation. Kasama ang inyong mga dasal, at sa grasya ng Panginoon, makakaraos at malalampasan din natin ito,” said Revilla.
 
“Ngayon pa lang, salamat po sa inyong mga panalangin. Thank you for your prayers,” he added.
