Michael V. confirmed positive COVID-19

Veteran comedian Michael V. has tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Popularly known in the Philippines as ‘Bitoy’, the Bubble Gang actor-comedian shared the news in his vlog and added that he decided to document his quarantine journey since he started to lose his sense of smell, and felt other flu-like symptoms.

Michael V then showed to the audience the result of his swab test where he confirmed that he had the virus. However, more than his own welfare, he cares more about his loved ones and asks for support to recover quickly from the virus.

“Honestly, I am worried not just for myself kundi pati sa pamilya ko. With your prayers and God’s help, I think we can go through this. I think it’s gonna be okay. Nakakainis lang isipin na ang lapit lapit nila, nasa kabilang kwarto lang, and yet hindi mo sila mayakap. Hindi mo sila mahalikan,” said Michael V.

The veteran comedian shares that isolation might be depressing but still chose to remain optimistic with the thought that he will soon recover from COVID-19 as each day passes.

“At the end of the day, narealize mo na lumipas na naman ang isang araw na mag-isa ka, but then again you look at it in a different perspective. Alam mong tomorrow is another day and malay mo bukas tapos na ito. I feel bad, but hopefully we will get through this and hopefully everything will be okay,” said Michael V.
