Michael Bublé gives Pinay caretaker family house, fulfills grandfather’s dying wish

Canadian singer Michael Bublé’ has fulfilled the dying wish of his grandfather to give his Filipino caretaker a house of her own, GMA News reported.

In an episode of the HGTV show “Celebrity IOU,” Bublé’ said he wanted to give back to Minette, their Filipino caretaker, who provided great service and care to his grandfather.

“I hired Minette, the nurse, to come and live with him and by the end, (she) was his best friend,” Michael said in the show.

He added that he wants to give Minette her own house since she has been sending all her earning to her family back in the Philippines.

Hosts Jonathan and Drew Scott helped Bublé’ renovate his grandfather’s house while Minette was on vacation to the Philippines.

Upon Minette’s arrived, Bublé’ told her they were shooting a documentary for his grandfather in order to convince her to be shot on-camera prior to the surprise.

After they saw the renovated house, Minette became emotional when Bublé’ told her the truth.

“My grandfather, his greatest wish was not just that I kept this house in the family, but it was that this would be your home cause he loved you so much. So there is no documentary, this is all for you,” Michael told her.
