Regine Velasquez is aware of the not so good relationship of Sarah Geronimo’s husband Matteo Guidicelli to the actress’ mother, Mommy Divine.
In an interview with pep.ph, Velasquez was asked on what she can advise to someone like Matteo who has yet to win the hearts of his wife’s parents.
“Ang pamilya mo kasi, pamilya mo, e. Hindi na natin iyon ma-e-erase. Normal naman sa mga pamilya na nagkakaroon ng sama ng loob. Wala namang perfect,” Velaquez said.
She added that disagreements between in-laws are normal part of married life.
“Para kay Matteo, normal lang na minsan may hindi pagkakaintindihan sa in-laws. Normal iyon. Wala namang perfect talaga. Ang importante, silang dalawa ni Sarah. Pag silang dalawa nagkakaintindihan sila, everything else follows,’ she added.
On the other hand, the Asia’s Songbird knows that Sarah still loves her family despite the controversy that hounded her wedding with Guidicelli last February 20.
“Siguro kailangan nilang ipagdasal yung family ni Sarah, for healing ba. Kasi like I said, nanay mo yun, forever mong nanay yun. At saka knowing Sarah, hindi niya iyon matitiis. Kilala natin lahat, she loves her mother grabe. She just needed to choose her own happiness versus her family. And sometimes, nangyayari iyon, na kinailangan din niyang isipin yung sarili niya,” Velasquez added.
