Julia Barretto revealed that she is now ready to play more mature roles now that she feels she’s ‘already over’ with her former love team partner, Joshua Garcia.
“Yes,” Barretto said last week when asked if she had outgrown Garcia in terms of being in a love team with him.
Barretto added that she is ready to take on more ‘edgy’ roles.

The controversial young actress also shared her thoughts on Garcia’s decision to still continue with love teams.
“I think his choice to still be in that path or the choice to still be in that path in his career, which is in the love team phase, I respect that.”
“Ako kasi I think I’ve graduated from that phase. And I’m very happy to be already in that phase in my career na mas mature na yung mga nagagawa ko, mas marami na akong nakaka-trabaho and mas-free na po ako sa pagpipili ng projects,” she added.

Members of the media also asked Barretto if she would be willing to work with Garcia again in another project.
“Pero siguro in the far future pa kasi I’m still working on Julia as an individual and Julia as the actress,” Barretto added.
Barretto made headlines last year after being tagged as the alleged third party in the controversial break up of Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo.
