The shooting of the upcoming remake of the superheroine film Darna is now underway and leading the cast is the young and upcoming actress Jane De Leon who will paired with Kapamilya hearthrob Paulo Avelino.
Avelino’s manager Leo Dominguez revealed that the actor will play alongside De Leon.

“According to sources, Darna’s leading man has been chosen. Paulo has been assigned to partner with de Leon in the movie,” he said in the caption.
“Avelino has worked with Tarog in ‘Heneral Luna’ and played the lead tole in the film ‘Goyo, Ang Batang Heneral.’”

Dominguez used the hashtags “#PauloAvelino joins #darna.”
De Leon was chosen as replacement to portray Darna after Liza Soberano backed out from the project because of a finger injury.
