Aga Muhlach happy with 'Miracle in Cell No.7' success; no ill feelings on 'best actor' defeat

Aga Muhlach and the cast of ‘Miracle in Cell No.7’ are in cloud nine as they celebrate the blockbuster success of their Metro Manila Film Festival entry.

Muhlach’s film is reportedly this year’s top grosser and broke Vice Ganda’s winning streak in blockbuster success.

Netizens and some movie experts said that Muhlach’s performance really made him a strong contender for the top acting prize but the MMFF body gave it to actor Allen Dizon for the film ‘Mindanao’.

“‘Yung pagbabalik ko sa festival, ngayon lang ulit. Imagine ‘yung feeling ko na you end the year this way, and you start the year this way. It’s amazing,” Muhlach said during his film’s thanksgiving dinner.

He also thanked those who continue to praise his acting in the Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean film.

“Alam niyo po, wala pong best-best actor. All of us, we try our best,” he told ABS-CBN News.

“These guys are great actors. That night, ang pinili po si Allen. Allen, congratulations, really, to you. I’m just the happiest. Kahit sinong kasamahan ko sa industriya na mabigyan ng pansin, ako’y parating magiging pinakamasaya for all of them. Kahit kanino man, seriously,” he added.
